New project for Il Pastaio di Brescia: reduced impact for Berlingo production plant
We are excited to announce that Il Pastaio spa is among the companies that are contributing to our mission!
Il Pastaio di Brescia is an Italian company that has been producing gnocchi for the domestic and international markets since 1983. This year it decided to embark with STEP on a journey to reduce emissions, starting with the Berlingo production plant in Brescia, Italy.
The path, aimed at reducing the plant’s emissions, led us to:
- Mapping plant emissions and identifying priorities for action, providing Il Pastaio with a snapshot of processes and impacts on which to build sustainable innovation projects.
- Select a mix of technology solutions on the market, from the areas of renewables, energy efficiency, circular economy and automation, to ensure improved impact and competitiveness. The company decided to begin the journey by working on process energy efficiency and the use of renewable energy.
- Define a tailored and integrated path, creating a plan that meets the specific needs of the Berlingo plant and is integrated with the company’s business strategy.
In the coming months, we are looking forward to all the work of implementing and grounding the identified innovative solutions, but also to a continuous search for new technologies that can improve the company’s processes.
Actual emission reduction data will be measurable and reportable at the end of this phase, so we prefer not to include estimated values or project details here.
